Holly Powell is an Emmy Award-winning Casting Director of 25 years and recipient of the Casting Society of Americas Artios Award.
She witnessed the casting world from three different points of view: Director of Casting both east and west coast at CBS Network; Senior Vice-President of Casting, The Greenblatt Janollari Studio at Twentieth Century FOX Studios; Independent Casting Director at Stone Powell Casting and Powell Melcher Casting.
Holly wrote “The Audition Bible: Secrets Every Actor Needs to Know” while teaching her audition workshops at ‘Holly Powell Studios.’ She traveled with her audition workshops to various universities and drama schools, and TAB can still be found as required reading in some acting and drama programs across the country. She will release a new revised second edition of “The Audition Bible” in January 2025.
Holly also co-authored her mother’s cookbook, “Mavis’ Kitchen: A Southern Cooking Lifestyle,” part cookbook, part memoir, part history. She is currently working on her third book that she describes as a ‘Fictional Memoir.’
A proud founding member of the nonprofit organization ‘She Angels Foundation,’ and co-founder of the nonprofit ‘Beyond Ranch Foundation,’ Holly continues her work in the non-profit world in the hopes of making life on this planet a bit easier.
