Shannon Gosda is an unapologetic average cook, yet passionate, purposeful co-researcher/editor/writer for her beloved grandmother’s cookbook, Mavis’ Kitchen.

She is driven to share the marvelous memories of life with Mae-Mae and the impact Mavis had on her family.

Shannon spent over 10 years as a Communications professional writing and editing for Boeing and Rice University, and her first job straight out of college was at Texas Monthly (although it had nothing to do with writing).

She currently juggles being wife to an extroverted engineer-type, managing and adoring three super strong-willed kids, and working as a patient pre-k teacher.

Shannon is a proud native Texan and was blessed to spend many carefree, peaceful years on the Texas Gulf Coast. When time permits, she enjoys time at the beach, jogging slowly, over-organizing, un-artistically painting, and doing her own nails while enjoying a nice glass of boxed wine.
